crowdSPRING (still in beta) is a very interesting new model of creative collaboration. In their own words:

Twitter, it seems, is starting to tip towards mainstream (here’s my Twitter). Although there has been recent commentary about the slowing uptake, not to mention debate over whether there are 1 million or 12 million users.

Most people I know still say ‘why bother?’ about Twitter, but I say ‘give it time’. As the stimulating Howard Rheingold explains in his TED presentation, “New forms of collaboration have always created new forms of wealth.” So, watch and wait.
