As a user experience architect, my natural instinct is to say OMG, are you nuts??!! My brain hurts and my eyes bleed just trying to navigate around that index. We are such a society of 'cling ons', we cling onto anything that's trendy and 'now'. Today 'infoviz' (information visualisation) is the latest thing to cling onto. When using information visuals interferes with usability of a product, it's time to put the pretty graphics back in its box. But, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. BTW, you have an amazing blog. Love it.
