Cy Twombly is a mesmerising contemporary artist. His Three studies from the Temeraire (pictured) is in the Art Gallery of NSW – I love it –  and I just saw his Quattro Stagioni at Tate Modern (which has been labelled a “modern masterpiece” and although I am no art critic, it did send curling shivers down my spine).
