“I have known the nakedness of my scattered dreams.”

So sad to hear the news today of the passing of Cy Twombly, a brilliant and mesmerising contemporary artist.
I would often find and experience more meaning in a single one of his creations than years of my own personal experiences. It was just this past weekend that I went with a friend to a current exhibition featuring Twombly in London (above).
It’s typically breathtaking. I felt the same way when I first say his strangely evocative work in Sydney (below).
His famous depiction of the seasons are particularly inspiring.




The piece of work that really blew me away over the weekend, which I’d never seen before was Hero and Leandro (below) which depicts a classical legend of doomed love involving the drowning of two lovers.
